Members of the News Guild of Maine voted unanimously Friday to ratify a contract with MaineToday Media.
By a vote of 89-0, members approve the two-year deal. The union has been working without a contract under imposed terms and conditions since the sale of the newspapers in June 2015.
This vote shows that the Guild remains a strong representative of the people who produce the newspapers, This puts an end to a period of uncertainty for MTM employees, and puts us on a solid footing going forward.
