Your Guild bargaining team has made a comprehensive contract proposal to the company based on the feedback we got from members in June’s sticky-note job action.
There will be a News Guild meeting at noon, Wednesday at the South Portland facility to discuss this and other important issues. Also on the agenda will be changes to the Ed Beardsley Scholarship program and the hiring of a part time administrative assistant.
We’ll also meet at 6 pm Wednesday at the One City Center lunchroom with night-side people who can’t make the noon meeting.
It’s important for people to make it to these meetings. They are not just for us to deliver information to you, but for all of us to talk with each other. The union is a democracy, and these meetings are where we make policy. Bring your ideas and concerns and let’s talk about them.
